About First Baptist and It’s History

The Community of faith now known as the First Baptist Church of South Plainfield began meeting on December 11, 1792, over two hundred years ago. Initially the Samptown Baptist Church, we were first housed on the land which is now known as Hillside Cemetery at Samptown. Now over two hundred years later, we are now located at 201 Hamilton Blvd. After many years of changes, our church still stands strong.

Weekly worship is held on Sundays at 10:30 AM and Sunday School is held at 9:30 AM. Please look at the calendar on this site for more upcoming events.
